Mr Levassair, who is based in the CapGemini headquarters in Paris, will raise several key questions. When will the eurozone reach a critical mass of SEPA transactions? What will be the impact on banks, public administrations, corporates, small and medium sized enterprises? What will be the global impact of SEPA ? And more specifically how can banks most effectively combine growth and industrieal strategties in the payments businesses when competitiveness will bring the consumer costs down reducing the profit margin for the banks?
Can the SEPA model be the basis for similar regional co-operations in other regions of the world?
Says CEO Lady Olga Maitland,"We feel that a new era in the payments sector is being ushered in. There are changes and challenges ahead. The conference will be examining how the payments sector will thrive on the new order by being innovative, and making full use of the latest technologies."
